Where does RESE buy houses? Eight North Texas counties, with their courts and records

RESE buys houses in eight North Texas counties: Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Rockwall, Ellis, Johnson and Grayson. For each one, this page points to the probate court or county clerk, the first-Tuesday foreclosure sales, the appraisal district, the tax office and the deed records, with links to the official sites.

In every county below, trustees hold foreclosure sales on the first Tuesday of the month, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. When that Tuesday is January 1 or July 4, the sale moves to the first Wednesday. The notice of sale has to be posted at the courthouse door and filed with the county clerk at least 21 days before the sale (Property Code §51.002). We buy anywhere in these eight counties. If your house is outside them, call and we’ll tell you who to call.

Questions people ask

Do you buy outside these eight counties?

Not usually. If your house is outside them, call (214) 616-6452 and we’ll tell you who to call.

Do you have a page for my city?

No, and on purpose. A page per city with the name swapped tells you nothing. When we close a house in a neighborhood, we write up that neighborhood with the real numbers.

Which county court hears my probate case?

If the owner lived in Texas, it’s the court in the county where they lived when they died, which can differ from where the house is (Estates Code §33.001). If they lived outside Texas, other rules apply, so ask a probate lawyer. The probate pages above show who to call.
